Perrigo Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI)

As a leading global self-care organization, we know our diverse consumers and their loved ones depend on us for their self-care solutions. Perrigo’s diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts strengthen our ability to make lives better by bringing quality, affordable self-care products that consumers trust everywhere they are sold.

We are committed to building a winning culture and becoming an even more innovative workplace. We aspire to do that, in part, through fostering a sense of belonging in each of our colleagues, meaning that they feel welcomed, valued, respected, heard and part of our thriving global community.

Together, we make lives better.

Our DEI Reports highlight actions we have taken to care for our colleagues, consumers, and the communities in which we operate as well as celebrate our progress and reinforce our path forward.

Belonging

We believe that feeling we belong not only enhances individual well-being but also drives collaboration, innovation, and organizational success.
We strive to create an inclusive and supportive community where every employee feels valued, respected, and empowered to be themselves at work. We celebrate diversity and strive for equity while recognizing that our different backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives enrich our collective strength. By nurturing a culture of belonging, we aim to create a workplace where everyone can thrive, contribute their unique talents, and build meaningful connections with colleagues, while driving Perrigo's vision forward.

Strengthening Communities

Perrigo has long supported organizations focused on uplifting communities by improving education, working to eliminate food insecurity, enhancing access to healthcare, and supporting career and life skills development. In 2022 alone, the Perrigo Company Charitable Foundations awarded more than $1.9 million globally to support these goals.

After partnering with the U.S (United States). Equestrian Federation to sponsor para dressage Nation’s Cup competitions in 2021 and 2022, Perrigo became the Title Sponsor for the United States Para-Dressage 2023 team. Para dressage provides competitive equestrian opportunities for athletes with physical disabilities and allows them to compete against teams from around the world.

Engagement

Engagement in the workplace is a crucial element for fostering a positive and productive work environment. At Perrigo, Business Inclusion Groups (BIGs) play a significant role in engaging colleagues in meaningful dialogue, offering mentoring and networking opportunities aiding in retention. BIGs are voluntary, employee-led communities that bring individuals with shared identities, interests, or experiences together and provide a platform for connection, support, and growth. Perrigo is proud to have three newly established BIGs: Global LGBTQ+, Consumer Self Care America (CSCA) Women, and Michigan Multicultural.

By creating a sense of belonging and inclusivity, BIGs not only enhance employee engagement, empower employees, amplify their voices, and cultivate a culture that celebrates our differences and encourages collaboration. Our Belonging Index as measured through our bi-annual pulse surveys enables us to be aware of engagement levels.

Commitment to Gender Equity

Perrigo is committed to the United Nations Sustainability goal focused on gender equality. That commitment is reflected through our Women's Health team's pledge to radically transform access to affordable and impactful self-care solutions.

Additionally, our CSCA U.S. Women’s Business BIG focuses on amplifying the positive impact of women at Perrigo through education, collaboration, opportunity, and empowerment.

Racial Equity

Our Multicultural BIG exists to provide a greater sense of belonging for individuals who identify with an ethnic, racial, or cultural minority group at Perrigo.

They also draw awareness to multicultural topics and reinforce the value everyone brings to Perrigo.

Perrigo also sponsors the Grand Rapids African American Museum and Archives, enabling the preservation of over 3,000 artifacts that tell the rich stories and highlight the importance of African Americans and their communities in West Michigan.

Promoting Self-Care for Men

Men are less likely to seek support for their health or engage in self-care, which is why we aim to raise awareness about men's health topics like mental health, prostate cancer, and suicide prevention through the men's health and wellbeing campaign, Movember.

We further promote self-care for the men in our lives by encouraging preventative check-ups, prioritizing mental health and overall well-being by being a “man of more words.” Visit www.movember.com to learn more.

Pride

Perrigo’s LGBTQ+ BIG exists to attract, develop, retain, and harness the talents of LGBTQ+ colleagues. In addition to hosting annual Pride Month campaigns, colleagues focus on mentoring, educating colleagues and networking across our global locations.

While Perrigo recognizes Pride month annually, the BIG helps to ensure we support the LGBTQ+ community and its allies that are in our workforce, consumer base, and the communities we serve all year round.

Disability Inclusion

Perrigo recognizes the unique experiences, perspectives, and contributions of people with disabilities and wants to eliminate barriers to their active involvement. Disability inclusion promotes a society that values diversity and treats every person with respect, dignity, and fairness. It involves creating accessible environments, implementing inclusive policies and practices, and fostering a culture of acceptance and support. Perrigo prioritizes mental health and well-being.

United States Veteran’s

U.S. Veteran's Day is a time to honor, support, and remember those who have defended the U.S. through unwavering dedication and sacrifice. It is an occasion for Americans to express gratitude, educate younger generations, and extend support to veterans who have or are actively serving in the armed forces.

Each November 11, Perrigo recognizes Veteran’s Day with a formal flag raising ceremony, an open house style celebration, and by presenting colleagues who have served in the armed forces with a different coin each year as a token of gratitude.
