Angela Welsh is a Senior Customer Supply Manager based at our US Headquarters in Allegan, Michigan. She has been with the company for 26 years and below she shares some insights into her team and what prospective employees can expect when joining!
Can you tell me a little bit about your time at Perrigo? During my time at Perrigo I have had the great opportunity to work across several different departments! I've been in the customer service department for the past 12 years and I'm currently a Senior Customer Supply Manager. I have 7 direct reports and we are currently working remotely due to the pandemic. However, we will eventually transition to a hybrid working model!
How would you describe the CS Team culture? Working in the Customer Service department is like working with a close family. The overall culture at Perrigo is inclusive and over my 26 years I've had several opportunities to move within the company and grow my career.
How would you describe your leadership style? I have a team of account managers that I trust to manage their workloads and individual accounts. If they run into any roadblocks, then I work with them to find a suitable solution! Collaboration is truly important to us as a team, and everyone is willing to help each other.
You are looking for a new colleague – Customer Service Account Manager - What can a prospective employee expect when joining this role and function? When joining this role, a colleague can expect to be greeted with a brilliant team that are willing to offer support long after initial training is completed! We have a great onboarding process, with continued training, to ensure everyone feels confident in their position. Our team is very supportive of new team members, and I do my best to ensure new starters transition to Perrigo with ease!
What do you think someone needs, to be successful within this role? You need to have the ability to handle changing priorities in a fast-paced environment. You are the voice of the customer supply chain within Perrigo and will need to effectively communicate any challenges we may be facing to your customer accordingly at multiple levels.
What is your favourite part about the office location? I was born and raised in the West Michigan area and enjoy the beauty this side of the state has to offer. Our office location is in Allegan, a small community that has been a wonderful area for me to raise my children. It is centrally located between Kalamazoo, Grand Rapids and Holland but only a short 30 minute drive to the lake shore to enjoy a day at the beach or an evening sunset!
