A Spotlight on.... Jason Gray


Jason Gray is our Vice President - Infant Nutrition based at our Vermont location! Find out below why he made the decision to join Perrigo and why he finds his new position so exciting! 


What is your background and experience, tell us about you! I attended Texas Tech University and have a BS in Food Science.  I have been in the food industry since I was 18. I have spent time in Dairy, Juice, Snack Food, and Condiments with the majority of my experience being in Snack Food. 

What attracted you to join Perrigo? Being able to be a part of the Pharmaceutical and Infant Formula sector was a dream come true. The culture of Perrigo, the products we produce, and how we approach our impact on the world around us excites me and is something I am proud to be a part of. Being able to take the great experiences I have obtained over the years and lead the Nutrition Manufacturing Division to define our future collaboratively and cross functionally is very exciting to me. 

What made you think the role with Perrigo ticked more boxes than roles in other companies? During the interview process, I was able to meet people across many different areas of the business. They all shared the same vision of the need to have a leader that could be collaborative and lead the Nutrition team through several important milestones over the next 3-5 years. Being able to work directly with the key leaders in our company to influence the future was an opportunity of a lifetime. 

What were you most excited about before you joined us? Learning a completely different business and building new relationships. I love People and Strategy, so helping others achieve their dreams like previous leaders helped me was something I was looking forward to. 

What has surprised you in the first 30 days? How accepting and helpful everyone has been at all levels. I haven’t met anyone that didn’t take the time to get to know me personally and made it clear they were here to support me. Our leaders have a very balanced approach to winning. 

What has been your highlight so far since joining? My highlight has been my team. The employees within Nutrition are passionate and highly engaged. The things they overcome each day are impressive, and they do it with pride. It makes learning a new industry so much easier when you have passionate and talented people who care. 

Why would you recommend Perrigo to other potential joiners? My job is not always easy, but it has been the most rewarding so far. Perrigo is a very generous company and goes out of its way to support their employees. We are innovating, changing, and growing which always creates new opportunities to learn and make an impact.    

What is your favourite thing to do outside of work? My thirst to learn doesn’t stop at work. I enjoy pushing myself to learn new skills outside of work and I rarely sit down. I try to put my family first, and I have been blessed with a very supportive wife and two incredible kids. I enjoy the outdoors, gourmet cooking, exercising and breathing new life into worn-out items.
