Eugene Nechiporuk is based in our Ukraine location and has has been part of the Perrigo family for over five years. Find out a little more about his journey below!
What location are you based in? I am based in Perrigo Ukraine. Our office has quite a winning location in town and there is a subway station Osokorky just 5 minutes away. It’s a small 4 floor business center. It is situated on the left bank of the city, meanwhile most offices and business centers are situated on the right bank of the city. So, it is quite easy to get to office without wasting time in traffic jams. There are a lot of places for parking near the office and we have several convenient parking slots by the business center itself. As for me, the office is in walking distance and I could easily get to it in 30 minutes, which is awesome.
Can you tell us a little bit more about the Ukraine location at Perrigo? There are about 100 employees in Perrigo Ukraine. Currently due to pandemic situation we are working from home, so there may be few people usually in the office during the day. There is a large sport center, shopping mall and lots of cafes and restaurants near the office.
What is a typical day like for you when in the office? Due to the pandemic situation we were mainly working from home. Back office employees were allowed to come to the office very seldom, based on received approvals, to minimize the risk. Our company cares about our safety. My typical day in office begins with a cup of coffee. I enjoy this part of the day because I like to communicate informally with other colleagues - this is when you are inspired to achieve new horizons. I usually interact closely with my direct supervisor – she is awesome, best chief ever. During the day I communicate almost with every department. We have a lot of common projects all the time, so teamwork is quite essential.
What’s your typical lunchtime spot? Typical lunchtime spot for our office can be one of nearest restaurants. There is quite an amount to chose from, so you can enjoy whatever food you like. Also, there is a huge sport center near the office.
How would you describe the location? I would describe Perrigo Ukraine as a very caring and comfortable place to work. Of course, we have a lot of challenges to deal with but we always have our team to support us. Conditions of work here are really of high quality - everything you need for a safe and comfortable work environment is provided. So, you have only to do your best and achieve targets.
What are the development opportunities at Perrigo Ukraine? I’ve been working in Perrigo Ukraine for more then 5 years and I’ve experienced career growth myself. After 1,5 years I became Sales Specialist in the Primary Sales Department. That was big step for me as I was then able to make decisions on my own and to have more impact on the wider business. During these years I’ve faced a lot of challenges and successfully handled them. I’ve always had the support of my colleagues, my supervisor and HR department. Last year I was given an opportunity to start an e-commerce project. For me it was quite a challenge. Step by step I’ve started to develop a new vector of business and I’m thankful for this opportunity. First, I was worried about combining two different roles effectively. But with the help of my colleagues I now understand that it’s possible to grow in a new direction without giving up one of them. In Perrigo Ukraine we have an opportunity to grow in a professional way and we have got our colleagues' support along our career path.
What’s your favourite part about the Ukraine location? What I like about Perrigo Ukraine? Pretty much everything. I enjoy our office. It has great location and it’s very stylish. Best part of Perrigo Ukraine is the people. Here I feel well respected, valued, and a true part of a team.
How would you describe the local leadership style? The leadership style at Perrigo Ukraine is very supportive and encouraging. During this pandemic our company makes everything possible to support us. We have been provided with support and understanding. Perrigo Ukraine cares about its employees, that’s for sure.
