Dustin Ruch is our Associate Director Commercial Strategy based in Michigan. He has been with our company for 7 years and below he shares with us his insights into life at Perrigo!
What made you decide to join Perrigo? I joined Perrigo because it’s one of the top CPG companies in the world with a great business trajectory! I knew I would be challenged at Perrigo and I believe in our vision of providing quality and affordable self-care products that consumers trust everywhere they are sold.
How has your career progressed since you joined Perrigo? I joined Perrigo as an Account Manager on some regional accounts and grew in the sales organization to be an Account Executive on a top 3 Customer. Recently I’ve taken on a new challenge in Commercial Strategy that leverages my strengths but has also pushed me to learn new skill sets, including being a team leader.
What keeps you at Perrigo? The high performing Teams I get to work on and the challenging opportunities. I’m continuously learning from the excellent people I get to work with and the opportunities I’ve been given by our supportive management team to help grow the business.
What is your favourite part of your role? Leveraging Perrigo’s deep data and insight resources to uncover new business opportunities. I also really enjoy the CPG business and thinking about how to win at both the physical and digital shelf.
What is your career highlight so far? I’d say the overall relationships that we’ve built with customers. We recently heard from a few of our largest customers that the Perrigo team is providing insights and analytics that they found more impactful than what any of our competitors are bringing to them.
What would you say to people thinking about applying to Perrigo? I’d 100% recommend working at Perrigo. In fact, my brother recently joined the company!
