Tabea Sauter kickstarted her career at Perrigo with a Marketing Internship and she is now a Junior Commercial Strategy and Implementation Manager based at our Herrenberg, Germany location! Find out what Tabea thinks about life at Perrigo and what she loves most about her position!
How long have you worked here? Can you tell us more about your role and background? I’ve been working at Perrigo/Omega Pharma in Herrenberg for one year now. I started in April 2020 with an internship in Brand Management and was then recruited as Junior Commercial Strategy and Implementation Manager in the field of Trade and Shopper Marketing. I am responsible for the activation at the Point of Sale for our pharma brands, the planning and implementation of promotion plans and advertising materials, and the support of our Sales and Marketing team. Before starting my career at Perrigo I completed an English-taught study program “International Business Management” for 3.5 years. The special “feature” of this study program was that half of my fellow students were from abroad. During my studies, I was spending two semesters abroad; one study semester in China and one internship semester in the UK.
What made you decide to join Perrigo? After having completed a voluntary service in a hospital many years ago, it was clear to me that I would pursue a job in the healthcare sector as I really want to have an impact on people’s wellbeing and thus to contribute to a better and healthier life. As Perrigo also shares the vision of improving the lives and well-being of people, I wanted to be part of the team. I could really identify with the products and brands, which was a decisive criterion for me.
How has your career progressed since you joined Perrigo? I joined Perrigo as a fresh graduate and completed my internship within the Brand Management Team, which was a very good start into the working life. It was great news for me that my team was happy with my performance and recruited me for a junior position in Marketing. As this is still an entry position I aim to learn as much as possible from my colleagues and team leads, so that I can grow further and contribute to the success of the company.
What keeps you at Perrigo? I feel very comfortable within my team and I am very happy with my great & supportive colleagues and team leads who always encourage me to drive the improvement of the status quo. Besides, I really appreciate that I can observe optimisation every day which keeps me motivated to work hard!
What is your favourite part of your role? I enjoy working in an interface with different business units. I appreciate being able to have an impact and make a difference. I have the opportunity to bring up my own ideas, to implement them, and drive them further whilst working on great projects.
What is your career highlight so far? One of my highlights in the short time I have been here is the establishment of a new process for evaluating our agencies as well as other projects I am responsible for or part of, which are targeted to improve the status quo.

What do you like about life at Perrigo? I really enjoy the good teamwork within Perrigo and the mutual support displayed daily! The fact that new ideas are valued is a real standout for me! It is great that everyone is encouraged to implement their own ideas & improvement proposals - this truly means we are capable of making a difference.
And finally, can you tell us a unique fact about yourself? I am not sure if this is still “unique” nowadays but I completed an around the world trip for half a year & I have learned the Chinese language over a 2 year period!
