A Spotlight on..... Victor Torres

vt

Victor Torres is our Share Plan Administrator based at Perrigo Ireland. He has been with us for over four years and below he shares some insights into his time at Perrigo and what he likes about working here!

How long have you worked here? Can you tell us more about your role and background? It’s been over 4 years since I joined Perrigo… and moved to Ireland! I used to live in Bristol (UK), where I worked as a Share Plan Administrator on the service provider side of things. I graduated in Translation and Interpreting in Vigo (Spain), but decided to take a leap and start working on the equity compensation field – a journey of continuous learning and improvement! The variety of the work involved in the administration of Perrigo’s Long-term Incentive (LTI) Plan is enjoyable – tax, accounting and legal aspects to deal with on regular basis, which require interdependence and collaboration with other colleagues.

What made you decide to join Perrigo? Ryan, my manager, and our Talent Acquisition (TA) team – they were able to show me what the role and Perrigo’s culture was about. Who wouldn’t want to join a company with such great people and that supports your career development? That coupled with an expanded scope of responsibility and the opportunity for cross-functional, global, collaboration made me decide to move to a new country and join Perrigo.

How has your career progressed since you joined Perrigo?  I’ve had the chance to increasingly assist in Executive and Board of Directors matters and I’m currently preparing for the Certified Equity Professional (CEP) certification… and there’s more to come!

What keeps you at Perrigo? The same things that made me join Perrigo – people, culture and opportunity to develop in a role and field that I’m passionate about.

What is your favourite part of your role? It is simply the variety and scope of my role that I enjoy the most!

What is your career highlight so far? Leading a project to automate certain processes and the completion of two out three exams required towards the CEP certification – just one more to go!

What would you say to people thinking about applying to Perrigo? Reach out to a member of our lovely TA team! They will show you this is the right place.

How would you describe the company culture? We are a group of people that thrive to do the right thing and trust each other, so we each have the chance to make a difference.

Tell us a unique fact about yourself! I’m constantly listening to all kinds of music and, over the years, I’ve taught myself to play the guitar, bass and drums. Playing music has become my main hobby. 😊

We are always looking for passionate, dedicated people to join our teams at Perrigo. Take your next career step today and check out our live vacancies!
